Schenectady - Leah C. Hill, 96, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 4, 2016. Leah was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Henry and Zada (Lauder) Madigan and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, class of 1947. Leah was primarily a home maker, but later in life worked for the Marriott Corporation in the Schenectady City Schools, in food service. She was a longtime communicant of St. Luke's Catholic Church.
Leah was predeceased by her husband, Carl. R. Hill. She is survived by her seven children, Cathy Foy, David (Barbara) Hill, Richard (Nancy) Hill, Jeanne Lynch, Mary Lou Stanley, Steven Hill and Michael Hill; one brother, The Reverend Henry Madigan; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Schenectady. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
