Obituary of Theresa Romania

Schenectady - Theresa Cusano Romania, 91  formerly of Schenectady, died Sunday, December 25, 2016, at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scotia. Theresa was born in Ludlow, MA, the daughter of Ernest and Orian Dupont.  As a child she moved to Schenectady, where she was educated. At onetime she worked at the General Electric Co..  Family and holidays spent together were the most important part of her life.  She will be remembered as a faith-filled, sweet woman. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony C. Romania and her son Douglas Cusano. She is survived by two children Dennis (Suzanne) Cusano of Glenville and Diane (John) Sleasman of Clifton Park; daughter-in-law Patti Cusano of Clifton Park; five siblings, Evelyn Spaulding,  Loretta Spaulding, Florence Adams, Yvonne Bowman and Ernest (Sharon) Dupont;; ten grandchildren, Brent (Kathy) and Bradley Mason,  Douglas (Cara),  Geoffrey, Cristina, Shannon,  Jason (Nicole), Matthew, Nicholas and Gregory Cusano; three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by siblings Albert and Bernice Dupont. Funeral service, Thursday morning 8:15 from Daly Funeral Home, Inc. 242 McClellan St. Schenectady and 9:00 at St. Luke's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Calling hours Wednesday evening 5 to 7 at the funeral home.  Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.  Memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 297 N.
