Schenectady - Lois E. Fay, 90, formerly of Keyes Ave. died Friday, December 23, 2016, at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia.
Lois was born in Schenectady, the daughter of James and Marguerite McNearney. Lois was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Briar Cliffe College. She was the office manager of James M. McNearney Distributing Co., a volunteer for the St. Clare's Auxillary Elite Repeat Boutique and was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Lois enjoyed summers spent at Saratoga Lake.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard J. Fay, he died in 2001; two children, Mary Teresa and Michael; and her sister Eleanor McLane
She is survived by her daughter Margaret "Peggy" Carney and four grandchildren Caitlin, Patrick, Elizabeth and Jack; nephew James McLane.
Funeral service Wednesday morning 11;00 at St. John the Evangelist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna . Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia.
