Obituary of Martin Kleber

Scotia - Martin W. Kleber, 93, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. Martin was born on January 25, 1924, in New York City, the son of Martin G. and Jessie Kleber. He resided most of his life in the Schenectady area. He was in the U S Army, during World War II, where he served with an armor outfit in Normandy. He was a Schenectady Police Patrolman, for 27 years, before retiring. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Etta Mae Kleber; a son, Daniel (Dawn) Kleber; three stepsons, Joseph (Theresa) Attanasio, Ronald (Deborah) Attanasio and Michael (Kelly) Attanasio; nine grandchildren, Jerry Kleber, Timothy Kleber, Andrea (Bill) Hanna, Michael (Tara) Attanasio, Dana (Eric) Potts, Steven (Shulamis Rozaund) Attanasio, Cassandra (Ron Giesin) Attanasio, Rachel (Micheal) Murphy and Christopher (Katelynn) Attanasio; and 13 great-grandchildren, Steven, Ava, Gianna, Maya, Alivia, Tristian, Caden, Maya, Graden, Broderick, Oliver, Michael and Raegan. Funeral service, Wednesday, 12 noon at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours, Wednesday morning, 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment, Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Schenectady Police Benevolent Assoc., 124 Clinton St., Schenectady.
