Aunts Ginny was an amazing person and will be missed. She was my Godmother and will always have a big influence on who I am and how I act. She was always positive and always nice, I never heard anything disparaging about anybody come from her. She didn't called somebody a drunk - they were "riding the jolly trolley." Aunt Ginny had a great sense of humor and I'll miss her smile and that sparkle in her eyes.

To the LaMalfa family My sister Sharon expressed my feelings as well. Living as far away as California it was so good to know you were there for Aunt Ginny. It is hard to lose such a loving, unique and precious person. I hope you, as I will, find some comfort in remembering how fully and well Aunt Ginny lived her life. Silke

The sun was wonderful today, but seemed a wee bit dimmer than it should of been. Aunt Ginny, age 95, left us early this morning to pursue greener pastures, brighter skies and a magnificent reunion with all those that had passed before her. She lived a life that had not only great quantity but also great quality. Truly one of the kindest souls you would have ever met. She wasn't without a mischievous side, which somehow always caught me by surprise. On one of my last visits Aunt Ginny said she was cleaning out her things, I think she knew her time here was getting short, she insisted I take a silver chafing dish. I resisted because I seriously didn't need a chafing dish, and I could never imagine using it. Aunt Ginny laid on the Polish guilt heavy. She told me that my very own parents gave her and Uncle Jerry that dish as an anniversary present and it was so important that I take it and cherish it. Begrudgingly I took the dish. I immediately showed my mom the chafing dish when I got home and told her what Aunt Ginny said, my mother looked me and said " your father and I could never have afforded to buy a silver chafing dish back then, she got you good" Well played Aunt Ginny, well played indeed. I should have learned my lesson when I helped her clean her basement years ago and left my truck unlocked...when I got home I found Uncle Jerry's Army belt from WWII, a globe from 1950, and 2 packs of toilet paper. I am so going to miss her.
PS. First chance I get I am using that chafing dish maybe I'll even wear Unlce Jerry's Army belt when I do it, just for good measure

To Joe LaMalfa and family. I would like to thank you all for taking such good care of Aunt Ginny. She would not have been able to stay on in her own comfortable home without your loving and caring of her. Taking her to doctors, bringing her food, taking time to be with her and visit, you all contributed to her health and longevity. unfortunately her side of the family was scattered and not able to visit often, but when we did it was to note how you all were so good to her. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we know she appreciated everything you did for her.love and blessings to you.
