Obituary of Jane Conte

Jane T. Conte, 79, of Raymond St., died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Ellis Hospital, after a short illness. Jane was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Pasqual and Letizia Ippoliti and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Jane worked for many years for Villa Italia as a baker. She had been a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors and was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She was married to Frank Mario Conte. He died in 1989. Jane is survived by six children, Mary Jane (Richard) Boulay of Hadley, Diane (Peter) Brajkovich of Chester, VA, Toni (Dennis) Deland of Duanesburg, Susan (John) Smith of Sante Fe, NM, Frank Conte of Greenville and Gene (Melissa) Conte of Schenectady; two sisters, Eleanore "Lee" Snyder and Angie Gunn, both of Schenectady; 11 grandchildren, Rick Boulay, Tisha Boulay-Bisner, Melissa Ruffalo, Diane Brajkovich, Stephanie Butler, Dennis Deland, Amanda and Kelly Smith, Frank, Brian and Nick Conte; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Nellie Aragona, Mary Aragona, Connie Braon, Josephine Plominski and Eugene Ippoliti. Funeral service Monday morning, 8:15 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours are Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
