Obituary of Gary Wallimann

Schenectady - Gary R. Wallimann, 68, of Van Rensselaer Dr., died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at home. Gary was born in Niskayuna, the son of Thomas and Patricia Walliman. He was a graduate of Linton High School and Hudson Valley Community College. For 38 years he was a bus driver for CDTA, retiring in 2010. He later worked for Felthousen Florist. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Gary enjoyed softball, skiing and tennis and had attended the U S Tennis Open in New York City. He is survived by his wife, Erin Williams, his father Thomas Walliman; his son Michael Walliman of Friday Harbor, WA; four step-children Meghann, Matthew, Shane and Mackenzie; two sisters and a brother Laurie(Kenny) Maiella of Glenville, Mark Wallimann of Schenectady and Joan (John) Franson of Mebane,NC ; a granddaughter, Marcella Kirkland; three step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his mother, Patricia and a sister, Michele Wallimann. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning, 10:15 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc,. 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
