Obituary of Rose-Marie Mancino

NORTH GREENBUSH - Rose-Marie "Rosie" Mancino, 65, passed away, peacefully, Monday, June 26, 2017. Rose-Marie was born at the Brady Maternity Hospital in Albany, the daughter of the late Fortunata and Earl Winters. At the time of Rosie's birth, her mother was the head dietician at the Brady Hospital. Rose-Marie was a lifelong Capital District resident. She graduated from Averill Park High School, class of 1969, the Gideon Putnam Nursing School in 1970, with her LPN and earned her RN degree from Hudson Valley Community College in 1972. Rose-Marie worked as a RN at the infirmary at SUNY Albany for many years, and then as a RN for several area school districts. For the past 26 years, she and her husband Paul have owned and operated the Albany Landmark, Lombardo's Restaurant. She enjoyed spending the winter months in south Florida with friends and family but nothing brought her greater joy than her cherished granddaughters. Rose-Marie is survived by her husband, Paul Mancino; their son, Anthony (Jennifer) Mancino; granddaughters, Isabella and Natalia; and several cousins in the New Jersey and Metropolitan New York. The family would like to thank the Albany Medical Center Hospital SICU staff and especially Dr. Carl Rosati, Dr. Giovana Mahar and Lenore Granich Berghela for their loving care and professionalism shown to Rosie and her family. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 42 Dana Ave., Wynantskill, NY 12198. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment to follow Mass at Elmwood Cemetery, West Sand Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude the Apostle Church
