Obituary of Raymond Corcoran

Raymond F. Corcoran, 87, of Union St., died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Corcoran was born in Schenectady, the son of John and Alice Oberlander Corcoran. He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Siena College. Raymond was a U.S. World War II Navy veteran. For many years, he worked for IBM in Kingston, retiring several years ago as the supervisor in the shipping department. He is survived by a brother, Richard Corcoran of Deltona, FL; a sister, Jacqueline (Donald) Bradt of E. Harford, CT; 10 nieces and nephews, and eight great-nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his brother, Walter Corcoran; and sisters-in-law, Joann and Ida Lu Corcoran. Funeral service, Friday morning, 10:30 at the Daly funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, with military honors.
