SCOTIA- Margaret M. Lussier Cornell, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center. Margaret was born November 6, 1919, a daughter of the late Zephyr and Clara Gardner Lussier. She was a communicant of St. Margaret of Cortona Church for over 50 years and a member of the Rosary Society. Margaret enjoyed bowling and knitting, but most especially, time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Dominick Cornell, whom she married July 21, 1940; son, Timothy Cornell; and siblings, Theresa Pucci and Edward Lussier. Survivors include her children, Rosemary Cornell, and James Cornell and his wife Carol; granddaughter, Donna Fisher and her husband David; grandsons, Michael Cornell, and Kevin Cornell and his wife Cassandra; beloved great grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, and Nicholas Fisher, and Emma Cornell; sisters, Joan Joralemon, Sister Mary Clare Lussier, and Eleanor Johnson; brothers, Alfred and Paul Lussier; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Thursday morning at 8 A.M. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, then to St. Margaret of Cortona Church, Rotterdam Junction, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 A.M. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Corners Fire Department, 5 Airport Road, Glenville, N.Y. 12302. Margaret's faith was her touchstone throughout her beautiful and precious life. The family expresses tremendous gratitude to the Baptist Health & Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care to Margaret.
