Glenville - Marcia E. Vinick, 83, passed away Friday July 28, 2017 at the Glendale Nursing Home. Marcia was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Maurice and Dorothy (Blanchard) Vinick and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Green Mountain College and made her career as an administrative assistant for General Electric Research and Development Center for 39 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed the ocean, her faith, Saratoga in the summer, animals and good food. She is survived by her sisters, Sally Gay and Kathryn (Dr. Oscar) Lirio; nieces, Maureen (Christopher)Nowak, Kristin (Richard) Feliciano, Kimberly (Andrew) Mitchell, Dr. Pamela Lirio; grandnieces and nephews, Aidan, Declan, Maeve, Cian, Eilis, Tiarnan, Miles and Reid; Christopher, Alexandra and Nicholas; and Genevieve. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the Mass Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Terrace at Glen Eddy, Brookdale Sr. Living Union St. and the Glendale Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Marcia's name to the charity of one's choice.
