Obituary of Janet F. Davignon

Schenectady - Janet F. Davignon, 80 of Avenue B, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Francis and Emma Collins and was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School.She met her high school sweetheart and love of her life Russell Davignon, they married and raised their three children. She will beremembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, having a great sense of humor and an intoxicating laugh. One of her favorite past times was shopping and she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, She was predeceased by her husband Russell E. Davignon, Sr, he died in 2007. Surivors include their children Bonnie (David) Doin, Russell (Colleen) Davignon, Jr. and Kurt (Julia) Davignon; six grandchildren Ashley (Patrick) Willson, David Doin, Brianne Davignon, Jessica Brown and Joey and Chelsea Davignon; four great grandchildren Lillian, Patrick, Skylar and Avery. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Jack Collins. Funeral service Wednesday 8:30 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc. 242 McClellan St, Schenectady and 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
