Obituary of Patrick A. Bove

Patrick A. Bove passed away Wednesday evening, August 9, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family in Rotterdam, NY after a courageous battle with cancer, which he fought to the very end. Born in Bronx, NY on December 31, 1951 and was the son of the late Pasquale and Pauline (Malone) Bove. Patrick was a manager at Oleander Furniture in Schenectady for many years before they closed. He enjoyed horseback riding, bowling and dancing. His favorite form of relaxation was to sit and enjoy westerns and enjoy the company of his grandchildren. Patrick will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of fifteen years Alicia (Merges) Bove, his children Dawn (Peter) Bove-Kelly, of Bronx, Jonelle Sperrazza of Bronx, John (Li) Merges of Milledgeville, GA, Mark (Jennifer) Merges of Canton GA, Phillip (Shannon) Merges Las Vegas NV, Alice Kalil of Rotterdam, and Kimberly Whipple of Rotterdam. Cherished grandchildren Ashley, Michael, Brianna, and Jason Kelly. Victoria, Vanessa, and Vianna Whipple. Jasmine, Alexandra, Zachary, Lucas, Myles, Chloe, and Mac Kenzie Merges, Jenna (Michael) Ferreitz, Peter and Jake Kalil. Brother of Anthony (Susan) Bove, niece Samantha and nephew Anthony Bove. We are forever thankful for the exceptional care and affection Patrick received from the staff at VIR unit and infusion nurses at Albany Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dee's Kids, INC. of Ballston Spa and St. Luke's Catholic Church of Schenectady. All are welcome to join the services honoring Patrick's life being held at St. Luke's Catholic Church 1241 State St. Schenectady, NY 12304 on Friday August 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
