Obituary of Robert L. Burns

Schenectady - Robert L. Burns, 74, formerly of Princetown Rd., died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation in the Town of Johnstown.  Bob was born in Niskayuna, the son of Thomas and Margaret Burns.  He was a graduate of the Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake High School and a US Army veteran, serving in Germany.  For over 50 years he worked in transportation, retiring from Electric City.  He was a local race car fan.  He is survived by two daughters, Christine (Antonio Belton) Burns and Tammy Haviland; two brothers, David (Teresa Coville) Burns and Jonathan Burns; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Bob was predeceased by his sister, Kathrine Tentz.  Funeral service, Tuesday, 12 noon, at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
