Obituary of James E. Roberts

Glenville - James E. Roberts, 84, formerly of Swaggertown Rd., died Saturday, September 16, 2016 at the Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center. Jim was born in Plattsburg, the son of Francis and Regina Roberts. He was educated in Schenectady and in the Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake School District and was a U S Army veteran. For many years he worked at the Maqua Printing Co. and retired from Printing Services of New York, in 1998. He earned two awards for his excellent work; in 1992 from the International Gallery of Superb Printing Gold Award for Superb Craftsmanship and in 1995 a Certificate of Craftsmanship from the Master Printers of America. Jim enjoyed fishing, golf and attending the sports events of his children, with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Kadyszewski Roberts, they married in 1956. Four children, Gary (Joan) Roberts of Schoharie, William (Mary) Roberts of the Town of Amsterdam, Catherine (the late John) Smith of Thornton, CO and Patricia (Mark) Beaulieu of Rock City Falls; two brothers, Donald Roberts of Schenectady and Gary Michael Roberts of Glenville.
