Obituary of Harry D. Waters, Jr.

Colonie - Harry D. Waters, Jr. 80 of Caveson Lane , formerly of Rotterdam, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at St. Peter's Hospital.

Harry was born in Catskill, the son of Harry and Deborah Waters, Sr.; raised in Athens before moving to Schenectady. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. While in high school, he developed his life of music; joined the band, the orchestra and the Schenectady and Empire State Drum Corps.

In high school he was selected to join the Junior Achievement program with the General Electric. He worked as a General Manager of several Central Market stores for many years before working at General Electric in the Mechanical Stress Testing Lab. He loved camping, traveling, music and painting.

He was predeceased by his two wives, Marion Waters, died in 1989 and Margaret Waters, in 2017 and his son Harry 'Skip' Waters, III.

Harry is survived by his son Donald (Mary Rose) Waters of Rotterdam; his sister Elsie Mills of Glenville; step children Cynthia Shisler and Mark (Elsa) Schisler; five grandchildren Courtny, Katelyn, Blake and Elaina Waters and Anthony (Cassandra) Berman; three great-grandchildren Hayden Waters, Ava DeThorne and Emily Berman, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Charles, Alice, Dorothy, Marcia and Valera.

Funeral service, Monday afternoon 1:00 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St,. Schenectady. Calling hours, Sunday afternoon, 1 to 3 at the funeral home.
