Obituary of Lorraine Beebe

Niskayuna - Lorraine M. Kelle Beebe, also known as "Mickey", 98, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at the Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Lorraine was born in Schenectady on February 10, 1919, the daughter of Harvey and Mary Agnes Foley Kelle. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and was formerly a sales associate and fashion model for "The Darling Shop". She was a member of the Schenectady Light Opera Company and was a vocalist for many local bands. Lorraine was a photographer and portrait colorist for the H.S. Barney Company Portrait Studio and was Executive Secretary for the Kremis Club at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.

She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Robert L. Beebe, on April 18, 2006 and their son Robert J. Beebe, on April 5, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie A. Beebe of Niskayuna and four grandchildren Lawrence R (Tosha) Grimmer of Rotterdam, Kelle K. (Vincent Delango ) Grimmer of Middletown, Nancy (Danny) Dunlavy of Alburquerque, NM and Stephen (Laurie) Beebe of Memphis, TN; daughter in law Ann M. Beebe of Poland, OH; six great-grandchildren, Dorothy and Theodore Grimmer, Maisy and Beckett Dunlavy Rob Beebe and Mollie Musolf. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Sabatini of Scotia; nephews, Mark (Nora) Sabatini of Roterdam and Jerry (Sally) Sabatini of Leominster, MA; cousins, N. Donald ( Lynn) Boink and Robert K. Stevenson; a grand nephew Daniel Sabatini; two grand-nieces, Olivia Sabatini and Audrey (Douglas) Carlton and loyal friend Liam Condon.

Funeral service Thursday morning 9:00 at St. Kateri Tekekwitha Church, (2216 Rosa Rd.), Schenectady, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. at the church. Interment, private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
