Schenectady – Mary Lou Levinson (nee Cowan), 69, entered into eternal peace the morning of Sunday, January 28th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Mary Lou was born June 3rd, 1948, in Amsterdam and lived in Rochester for many years. Mary Lou was a caring and dedicated nurse who worked in various nursing homes in the greater Albany and Rochester areas. She touched many lives in her decades of service.
She is survived by her devoted partner of 12 years, Rod Smith; her loving daughter, Meagan Dinga (Nathaniel); mother, Jean Cowan; brothers, William (Angel) Cowan, James Cowan and John (Sandy Nevin) Cowan.
She was predeceased by beloved family members, father, Lewis Cowan; brother, Robert Cowan and nephew, Jason Cowan.
She will be fondly remembered for frisbee, baseball, feeding the ducks and her wacky sense of humor. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
