Rotterdam - Neil 'Butch' Cuomo passed away on January 30, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Butch was born on January 7, 1941, the beloved son of the late Neil Cuomo and Mary (Lorenzo) Cuomo. He was a graduate of Schalmont High School. Butch was employed at the family owned business, Rotterdam Meat Packing, for 20 years. He also owned and operated a construction and paving company for 30 years. Butch was an antique car collector and avid hunter. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed a good cup of Stewart's coffee. Butch was the loving husband of Barbara (Skoda) Cuomo; father of Joseph and Neil Cuomo; loving grandfather of Brittany Hills, Ashley and Samantha Cuomo; brother of Daniel (Patti) Cuomo, and uncle of Heidi, Karl, Andrea, Erika, Daniel, Mary, and Vincent. He is also survived by many loving friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen Schilling. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and doctors of St. Peter's Hospital for the wonderful care Butch received. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
