Obituary of Robert T. Dawsey

Glenville - Robert T. Dawsey, 81, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Ellis Hospital. Bob was born in Schenectady, the son of James and Emily Dawsey. He was a graduate of St. Columba High School. He was a manager of the former State Theater for twenty years before working for A B Dick Company in Albany, as a copy repairman for twenty years. Bob will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. He was predeceased by his wife Concetta Dawsey; they married in 1957; she died on January 22, 2018. He is survived by two children, Diana Gribben and Robert (Theresa) Dawsey; three grandchildren, Daniel and Emily Gribben and Lauren Dawsey; four siblings, Margaret Cooper, Doris Hull, Donald Dawsey and Rose Frasso; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings,Theresa Kelly, Shirley Connelly and James Dawsey. Funeral service, Tuesday morning, 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, St. Anthony's Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the parish center. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
