Obituary of Mary Lynne Eckel

Schenectady – Mary Lynne Eckel, 81, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2018. Mary Lynne was born in Schenectady the daughter of late Sarah and Charles Eckel and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and was a member of the school choir and the commercial club. Mary Lynne worked at General Electric as the Secretary to the Manager of Marketing for 40 years, retiring several years ago. She was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, the GE Women's Club and a lifelong communicant of St. Luke's Catholic Church. Mary Lynne was an avid reader and enjoyed vacations to visit cousins in Phoenix and Ft. Lauderdale. She is survived by her cousins: Mary Ellen Mikula, Rita Veronesi, Dennis Kiley, James Kiley, Jack Homand and Jacqy Hout-Ross. Mary Lynne's family would like to thank the staff of Ellis Residential Center for their compassionate care. Calling hours will be Friday 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30 am from Daly Funeral Home, Inc., then to St. Luke's Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Mary Lynne's name may be made to St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
