Obituary of James F. Cheunes

Glenville - James Francis Cheunes, 89, entered into eternal life on May 1, 2018, at home. He was born in Laconia, N H, the son of James and Helen Cheunes in 1929. His family relocated to Schenectady, where he spent most of his youth. He left his mark on the world through his service in the Armed Forces, his professional teaching career in Shortsvillle, NY and his work in the mines of Herkimer. He will be remembered as an honorable man, and will be missed. He leaves behind two children, James Richard and Briana Dawn Cheunes; two grandchildren, Chase Everett and Madeline Alexandra Zartman, whom he loved and lived for. Jim was predeceased by his three sisters, Arlene Benaquista, Jean Campbell and Noreen Blaise. Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
