Obituary of Lugi Romanello

Schenectady – Luigi Romanello, 78, passed away Sunday May 13, 2018.

Luigi was born in Italy the son of the late Elizabeth and Joseph Romanello. He immigrated to the United States in 1953 and settled in Pittsfield, MA and in 2002 moved to Schenectady where he had since resided. Luigi worked for General Electric for more than a quarter of a century. He enjoyed reading and collecting coins and dishes.

Luigi is survived by his sister Maria Roberto, Italy, brother Julio Romanello, niece Anna (Charles) Kunce, nephew Pasquale Marinaro, several great nieces and nephews, good friends David McGrath and family.

The funeral service will be Friday 12:00 noon at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 2 Pine West Plaza #202, Albany, NY 12205
