Schenectady - Dorothy A. Breen, 89, of Parkland Garden Apts., died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. Dorothy was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Breen and was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She was a Senior Claims Rep for the Social Security Administration retiring in 1987. She enjoyed playing tennis with the Schenectady Tennis Assoc., winters in Boynton Beach, Florida and always enjoyed time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She especially loved playing games with them, often making up a game and entertaining them. Dorothy was a longtime communicant of St. Luke's Church. She is survived by her sister Pat Kiel of Boca Raton, Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her five siblings, Rhea, James, Thomas, William Breen and Betty Burns. Funeral service Friday morning 9:30 from Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 10:00 at St. Luke's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 at the funeral home. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Church Food Pantry, 1235 State St,. Schenectady, NY 12304.
