Schenectady – Lola R. Bankhead Miller, 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Ellis Hospital after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Lola was born in LaGrange, N.C. and was one of 16 siblings. She was the daughter of Eugene and Lolar Maye. Lola graduated from Lenoir County H.S., N.C. and received her C.N.A. in upstate N. Y. She was employed at Kingsway Nursing Home for many years. Her greatest gift was helping others.
Lola is survived by her loving husband, Raymond, 2 daughters, April and LaReece. Also,3 grandchildren, Alesenay, Derek, and LaRree. Plus,several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A calling hour 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady on Tuesday 5/29/18. Internment will be followed at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetary,41 Jolly Rd., Glenmont, NY
