Obituary of Josephine Louise Isopo

SCOTIA. Jospehine Louise DiPietro Isopo, 89, entered into eternal life on Monday, July 23, at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer disease.
Born in Schenectady on August 26, 1928 to Oreste and Mary DiPietro, she was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and was married to Giuliano Isopo, Sr., in 1951.
In her younger years she was an avid bowler and won several trophies. She dedicated her life as a homemaker for her husband and 7 children and spoiled them with her excellent cooking and baking. A woman of class and style with an indomitable 'can do' spirit, she will be remembered with love by her family and friends for her sense of humor, creativity and generosity.
She was a member of the Laziale Society, the Sacred Heart League and a communicant of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Marguriete DiPietro and her son Vincent Anthony Isopo.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Giuliano Isopo, Sr., her children: Dr. Patirica Isopo-Croteau, the Rev. Dominic P. Isopo, Giuliano Isopo Jr, (Denise), Jo-Ann Isopo-Davis (Peter), Maria Isopo-Barringer, (Bruce), Anthony J. Isopo (Tara); her grandchildren; Kenneth Wilson Davis III, (Nikki), Karen Isopo-Piscatelli, (Rocco), Giuliano Isopo, III, Demitria Rios,(William), Devin Robbins, Sarah Isopo; her great-grandchildren; Cologero Piscatelli, Rorie Eleanor Rios; loving nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 26 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Daly Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 27 at 1:00 pm at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
