Schenectady - Lorraine A. McLaughlin, 81, died Wednesday, August 1,2018, at Ellis Hospital. Lorraine was born in Albany, the daughter of Ronald and Adeline Higgins. She was educated in the Colonie Schools. She resided most of her life in Schenectady where she raised her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. Her favorite pastimes where spent doing outdoor activities with her family including boating and camping. Lorraine had been a longtime communicant of St. Luke's Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond "Mac" T. McLaughlin, they were married 57 years at the time of his death in 2013. She was also predeceased by two of their children, Raymond R. McLaughlin and Cynthia McLaughlin. She is survived by a son, Robert (Melinda) McLaughlin, a granddaughter, Alana Slattery and extended family members, Fred Gram and Sonia Carden. Funeral service, Friday 1:30P.M. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St,. Schenectady. A calling hour will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment, St, Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 or St. Luke's Church (for the Food Pantry), 1241 State St,. Schenectady, NY 12304.
