Obituary of Giuliano Isopo
Giuliano Isopo, Sr., 91, entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 11, 20 days after his beloved wife of 67 years, died at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his children, of Broken Heart Syndrome.Born in Fontechiari, Italy on November 26, 1926 to Domenico and Vengenzia Isopo, he emigrated to the United States in 1947 and married Josephine L. DiPietro in 1951. Together they raised seven children.Giuliano retired from the General Electric after 40 years of service and in the 1960's founded and operated G.I. Aluminum Products Co., and was successful in real estate. He had a great love for the Opera, wine making and took great pride in his garden.He dedicated his life to his family and taught his children many life lessons; to respect others, to work hard and to live life with dignity and humility. A man of many talents, he left this world with no regrets and knowing that he was loved and cared for. He will be remembered with love by his family and friends for his generosity, honesty and integrity.He was a member of the Laziale Society and a communicant of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church.He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Vincent A, Isopo and Josephine, his beloved wife.He is survived by his children, Dr. Patricia Isopo Croteau, the Rev. Dominic P. Isopo, Giuliano Isopo, Jr., (Denise), Jo-Ann Isopo Davis, (Peter), Maria Isopo Barringer, (Bruce), Anthony J. Isopo (Tara); his grandchildren, Kenneth Wilson Davis II, (Nikki), Karen Isopo Piscatelli (Rocco), Giuliano Isopo III, Demitria Rios (William), Devin Robbins, Sarah Isopo; his great-grandchildren, Cologereo Piscatelli and Rorie E. Rios; his brother, Sante Isopo, (Mary); his nephews, Sante Isopo and Gino Isopo and cousins, relatives and friends.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 17 at 1 p.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in Giuliano's memory to the Daily Bread Food Pantry, c/o St. Luke's Church, 1241 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304 or to St. Joseph's Place, c/o St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 225 Lafayette Street, Schenectady, NY 12305
