Alun Pritchard, 77 of Schenectady, peacefully passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.Born in Rutland, VT, Alun was the son of the late Emrys and Catherine (Pugh Jones) Pritchard; and husband of Mary D'Ercole Pritchard. Alun graduated from Poutlney High School and then entered the US Air Force.After his service Alun graduated from Castleton State College on his way to a 34 year career as a Social Studies Teacher at Shenendehowa Middle School.He was an avid singer and member Octavos, Burnt Hills Oratorio, Union Presbyterian Church and Mohawk Valley Choral Groups for many years. He and Mary traveled often, during school breaks, and even more once retired.In addition to his wife, Alun is survived by his children, Michael (Joan), and Amy (George).
