Obituary of Paul T Freudigman
On Saturday October 20th with his family at his bedside, Paul began his journey home on the wings of angels.
Paul was the son of late Catherine Flynn and Lawrence Freudigman. In addition to his parents, he now joins his sister Joan and his daughter Elena Freudigman.
A lifelong Schenectadian, he was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Albany Business College and worked for the NYS Tax Department as a tax auditor retiring after 42 years of service. Paul was a profoundly spiritual filled man who loved his family and was dedicated to their happiness. He leaves behind many close friends with whom he enjoyed many spirited conversations on sports over a cup of coffee. A husband, father, brother, grandfather, and devoted friend to many, he loved his church of St. Anthony's and was faithful to its mission.
He leaves a legacy of his commitment, faith and love to be cherished by his wife of 54 years, Lucy Benacquisto Freudigman, his children Paul and Kimberly Freudigman, his loving sister Carol Freudigman Pizzo, his dearest nephew and Godson Keith Fraking, the apples of his eye – his grandsons Emerick MacNevin and Eric Freudigman, his granddaughter Peyton Freudigman and his son-in-law Justin MacNevin and daughter-in-law Rebecca Nelson Freudigman.
There will be no viewing hours. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady. The family will remain at the church following the services to receive condolences. Donations in his memory will be gratefully accepted to St. Anthony's Restoration fund or to Sister Maria Rosa Querini for the food pantry. info@stanthonyschurch.net Arrangements have been entrusted to the Daly Funeral Home.
