Schenectady – Josephine M. Moncsko, 105, passed away Thursday December 6, 2018.

Josephine was born in Schenectady September 29. 1913 the daughter of the late Sophia and George Reisinger and has called Schenectady home since.  She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy, was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Church and a 52 year member of the Rosary Society.

Josephine was a member of the Home Bureau and Carmen Homemakers.   She enjoyed all the skills of homemaking; cooking, sewing and gardening.  She was fond of time spent in nature, music, fishing and watching the NY Yankees, but most of all she loved time spent at family gatherings.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Joseph Moncsko, one sister and three brothers. 

She is survived by her son Richard (Marilyn) Moncsko, grandchildren; Michele Gilbert, and Richard (Laura) Moncsko, Jr., four great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 225 Lafayette St., Schenectady Monday at 1:00 pm.  Calling hours will precede the Mass on Monday from  11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady.  Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208
