Obituary of Mary C. Razewski

Schenectady - Mary C. Razewski, 95, passed away on December 30, 2018 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady.

She was born in Troy, New York on March 7, 1923 to the late Webb Cooley and Mary (Quigley) Cooley.

She was predeceased by her husband Francis J. Razewski, siblings Willard Cooley, Joseph Cooley and Virginia (Cooley) Metzger and her sons-in-law Michael D. Bland and Richard Vaught.

Mary graduated from Ellis School of Nursing in 1947 and worked at Ellis and Sunnyview as a private duty nurse for most of her career. She then worked for Schenectady County as a supervisory nurse at Glendale Home. She was a member of St. Kateri Tekawitha parish. Mary enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping with her family, bowling and of late following the activities of her great-grandson, Logan Heil – truly the sparkle in her eye.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Jean Bland of Jay, NY; Ellyn Marie Vaught of Culpeper, VA; Carol Anne (Ronald Stillens) Razewski of Anchorage, AK; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a niece and a nephew.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha (Union St.) formerly St. Helen's Church, Friday 9:00 am. Interment to follow, in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. There will be no calling hours.
