Obituary of Randy DeLack

Randy DeLack, 18, was born January 16, 1993. Beloved son of David DeLack and Kim Buchanan, took his life on April 12, 2011. Randy was a gifted musician and artist. Randy was the kindest and most gentle kid you would ever meet and would help out any person or animal in need. Randy loved the color purple, fishing, the ocean, knives, bicycles, skateboards, the cove, Central Park, Sacandaga Lake, Schoharie, computers, gaming, shooting, and his true love, Amanda. Randy devoted his last years to "amateur zoology," computer hacking, online gaming and developing his artistic talents. His twisted humor would make anyone laugh, especially his classmates. He was also a natural at construction and mechanics and was his father's right hand man. As a child, he would construct countless towers, contraptions and inventions and when they didn't work out and tumbled down, he would begin the tedious process over again. He was predeceased by his cherished grandmother, Esther DeLack. He leaves behind his best friend and brother, Zakkry DeLack; cherished cousins, Katherine, Elizabeth and Jesse; Godparents, Carrie and Evan Mcginness; grandparents, Nancy Barbarulo, Bruce and Joan Buchanan; great-grandparents, Tony and Dot Barbarulo, Margaret Buchanan and Uncle Paul Barbarulo and all of his pets. Funeral service, Saturday afternoon, 4 p.m. at State Street Presbyterian Church, 5 Catherine St. (Catherine and State), Schenectady, NY 12307.
