SCHENECTADY- Victoria DeMagistris Coulter, 91, formerly of Nott Street, passed away Sunday March 1, 2009 at the Glendale Nursing Home. Victoria was born November 9, 1917 in Johnstown, NY, a daughter of the late Cosmo and Felicia Calantona DeMagistris. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School and worked many years as an operator for Upstate Telephone Company. Victoria subsequently began her employment with General Electric, where she was employed as a telephone operator in the company's main plant. She retired in 1982. Victoria was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Coulter, who died in 1993; son, Robert B. Coulter; and siblings, Ferdinand, Anthony, Michael, Nicholas, John, Patrick, Frank, Rose and Eileen. Survivors include her sister, Carmella Christiano and her husband Carmine of Gloversville; two grandchildren, Susan M. Coulter and Robert A. Coulter, both of San Diego, CA; two great granddaughters; and one brother-in-law, Lewis Coulter of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral service Friday morning at 11 AM from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Interment will follow in Memory's Garden, Colonie. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM, prior to the service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
