Dear Olivia, John, Art & Chris & Rita,
I was so sad to hear of the loss of your dear mother when Art emailed me the news. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and be assured of my continued prayers for your mom and all of you.
Memories of dear old St. Michael's flood my mind when I think of your mom. Her weekly choir practice was always wonderful to hear, and interesting to compete with when I taught Church history and apologetics to John and Art. I always admired the skill with which your mom honed those voices into a wonderful euphony for the High Masses we attended.
I also treasure the time I visited your old home in Schenectady and talked with John while your mom added her insights to the topics of our conversation. I was amazed at the breadth and depth of her knowledge on many subjects, on which at that time I was just a neophyte.
I treasure all my memories of your mom, your dad and all of you as my prized possessions. May Our Lady console you in your time of sorrow and grant your mother a fast entrance into her Eternal Home. There may we all meet in joy unending one day.
