Obituary of Aurea Alvarez

Aurea Alvarez, 46, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at Ellis Hospital. Aurea was born in Ellenville, NY, on September 21, 1964, a daughter of the late Gregory and Aurea Avilez Caban. She was a graduate of Ellenville High School and attended Kingston Community College. Survivors include her husband, Roberto Alvarez; daughter, Kristena Estela; brother, Milton (Marcy) Caban; sister-in-law, Elizabeth; nephew, Xavier; niece, Sierra; dear friends, Stephanie and Nick Stealey, and Erin Ryan; and many other special family members. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15th, at 11 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Aurea, though a small woman, had an enormous heart and was a great inspiration to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Aurea's name to Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rose Wood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
