I was so sorry to learn of Aileen's passing. My mother was one of her table mates at Kingsway Manor. Aileen was very welcoming and as we got to know her, we had many wonderful conversations about St. Clare's Hospital, Eastern Ave, shopping downtown in the "good ole days" (Barneys, Carl Co., Wallace, Imperials), being a nurse (my mom was a retired Bellevue Maternity nurse). But she truly became animated when she talked about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
My mom, Joan Decker, passed away 3 days before Aileen.
