Malvin Ruffin , 62, of Schenectady, NY, passed away on 11/5/2020 after a 3 year battle with Cancer. Marvin was born on January 22, 1958 to Mary & Elvert Ruffin in Brooklyn. After realizing education wasn't his nitch and troubleshooting was his gift, he became an auto mechanic for his entire adult life, up until 13 days before he died. He landed his first job as a mechanic for Eppie, the man that helped him perfect his craft. Along the journey of his life, he realized he was a great leader and became a member of the Brooklyn Tomahawk's and gained the respect of many people. He was a ladies man and he has the kids to prove it. He is survived by his children: Antoine Ruffin, Marvin Ruffin, Bobby Ruffin, Jessica Ruffin, Jasmine Ruffin, Annette Ruffin, Jeannette Ruffin, Marvin Wheeler, Regina Wheeler, Shawn Wheeler, Cheryl Wheeler and Maleka Mcmillan. In 1996, Malvin married Mary Boler and gained more non-biological children: Octavia Monroe, Terry Monroe, Quivia Biker and Sequira Boler. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Quinton Ruffin, Lynwood Ruffin, Elveda Brickhouse, Kenneth Ruffin and Denise Robinson, his girlfriend of 10 years and a multitude of grandchildren, family and friends. Marvin was predeceased by his son, Antony Ruffin and sister, Trina Ruffin. Malvin was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of all his kids and always tried his best to support them. Malvin was also a passionate of his skill as a mechanic and could often be found at Mineke with Ronny and Bob, his work brothers, when he wasn't at home and also was an amazing singer. Anyone who knew Malvin knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Malvin had his ups and downs but who doesn't. He became a Great Man of Honor whom all his family and friends are very proud. Malvin said it years ago "one of these days it won't be long, they gonna look for me and I've gone on home; when I get to heaven I'm a scream and shout, and ain't nobody gonna put me out." The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Daly Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Daly Funeral Home on November 16th, 2020, from 1-3 p.m., located at 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady, NY 12304.
