Obituary of Samuel Jaime

Samuel Jaime, 80, of Schenectady passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19th, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Samuel was born in Huancabamba, Peru to the late Mercedes Huaman and Toribio Jaime on December 6th, 1939. Samuel was a kind loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved animals, enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and loved to travel back home as he was very proud of his heritage. He always had a great sense of humor and a glowing smile that will brighten anybody’s day. He used to always say: “mi casa es su casa” as he was always very welcoming to anyone who came into his home. He had a servant’s heart and his life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Samuel will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Luisa and his nine children, Luz (Julio), Marlon (Lihn), Azucena (Bryan), Oscar (Rocio), Fanny (Jose), Miriam (Jimmy), Samuel Jr. (Margarita), Miguel and Violeta. Samuel will also be fondly remembered by his nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchild, thirteen siblings and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Friday, 11:00 am at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Visitation to precede the service Friday, 10-11 am. Interment, Parkview Cemetery. Daly Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Due to covid-19 health risks the Jaime family will not be hosting a traditional reception following the services.
