I am a GE retiree and former co-worker of Mary's husband Tom. I was sorry to read of Mary's passing. I must have met her on several dozen occasions during the thirty years that Tom and I worked together. Mary's positive outlook, can-do attitude, and sense of humor made her an excellent life partner for Tom. Meeting and talking with Mary was always a pleasure, and the love and pride she felt for every one of her family members came through loudly and clearly. She had a wonderfully full life, and I hope that she did not suffer at the end. I regret that a medical appointment will prevent my being with you today, but I extend my sincere condolences to each of you. John Hughes
