Obituary of Barbara Ann Bushman

Bushman, Barbara Schenectady, NY –Barbara Bushman, 76, passed away at home after a long courageous battle with COPD on January 17, 2021 with her sister Kathie by her bedside. Barbara was born in Schenectady, NY on February 22, 1944. She was the daughter of Arnold Bushman, Sr. and Dorothy Ziegler Mordsfeld. Barbara attended Nott Terrace High School and later enjoyed a long career in the restaurant industry with special memories from her years working at the Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Houston, Texas. Barbara was also an exceptional athlete and pitcher in women’s professional softball, playing for several years with the Jimmie Girls Team locally. Barbara also worked as a caretaker for several friends and family members. She most enjoyed spending time at family gatherings during the holidays. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, her sister Linda Bushman and brother Joe Ziegler. She is survived by her loving sister Katherine (John) LuBrant and special niece Samantha LuBrant of Portolla Valley, CA, brothers: Wesley (Susan) Bushman and Arnold (Peggy) Bushman, Jr. nieces and nephews: Bill, Joe, Linda, Sharon and Kim, great-nieces and nephews: Ian, Chris, Zoe, Zachary, Shelby, Taylor, Todd and Troy. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral services will be privately at the convenience of the family
