Obituary of Louis R. Lupi

Louis R. Lupi Sr., 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Kingsway Manor in Schenectady, NY. He was born in Schenectady, son of the late Benjamin and Jenny (Mariorano) Lupi and brother to the late Theresa (Cuomo) Lupi. He is survived by his sister, Eleanor (Reo) Lupi, Tequesta, FL, his four children; Teresa Gallo-Toth, Brookline, MA, Lisa Lupi-Mediavilla, Wellington, FL, Linda Caldwell, Ardsley, NY and Louis B. Lupi, Jr, Chatham, MA, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was always proud of his honored service in the Army during World War II. As a veteran, he stayed active with the Rotterdam AMVETS Post 35, making life-long friends from many military branches served by this veteran organization. In 2019, he was Grand Marshall of the Rotterdam Veterans Parade. He is noted for his military service at the Veteran's monument at Rotterdam Town Hall. He was a long-time resident of Rotterdam and employee of the General Electric Company. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 806 Union St., Schenectady. Interment with a military funeral and committal service will directly follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery in Saratoga.
