I have such clear remembrances of Sid. When we first joined Woodlawn Reformed Church I had two small children and no car. Sid and Doris would often pick us up for services in bad weather and Sid became a kind of surrogate parent in that he always engaged my boys in conversation and on one occasion even brought over a copy of a photograph that my youngest son particularly like that had been printed in the paper. Once, at Christmas Eve services, we were seated behind Sid and Doris, my youngest was holding the candle perilously close to Sid's jacket. I quickly corrected the situation and later apologized to Sid. He was entirely charming, saying it was an old jacket anyway!
Our relationship continued off and on, even when Sid and Doris moved to Hoosick Falls -- I would meet them at church picnics and other events and they were always full of good stories and warm remembrances. Sid's grace, charm and talent will be long remembered.

Love and prayers to whole family and friends. I am so blessed to have known sid through the Woodlawn neighborhood association. We had many great times, conversations And pictures through the years. I loved his photos in the gazette,
He was so very talented. I also admired his work at the rose garden. I finally got to see it 2 years ago. It is beautiful there.
He was always friendly and upbeat and willing to lend a hand at a project or share experience and information.
God bless
