Obituary of Theresa M. Rigatti

Theresa Mary Rigatti passed away on Saturday February 20, 2021 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was born on November 11, 1938 in Jamaica, New York to Antoinette and Dario Rigatti. Theresa was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Canisteo, New York. She worked for the State of New York in Albany and at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in the dietary department for many years. Theresa enjoyed gardening, baking, especially Christmas cookies which she shared with her neighbors and friends. Shopping was a joy for her and she had a deep love of music and reading. She was predeceased by her parents Antoinette and Dario Rigatti, her brothers Joseph Rigatti, Frank Rigatti (Karen), George Rigatti (Armida) and Dr. John Rigatti (Ellen). She is survived by her sister Catherine Loffredo (Dr. Albert) and many beloved nieces and nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady Saturday March 6, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1801 Union St., Schenectady at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Social distancing and number of people allowed at the funeral home and church will be adhered to for the health and safety of all. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam and Saratoga, St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church or the Alzheimer's Disease Association, Albany. The family wishes to thank the staff at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for the care and dedication to Theresa during her time there and Community Hospice of Amsterdam and Saratoga. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a larger celebration of life will be held in the future, details will be shared at a later date.
