Judith Ann (Ashley) Danielson of Charleston passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday, February 28th, at the CAMC Memorial Hospital Hospice, after a short illness. Judith was born in Schenectady, New York on July 1, 1947 to Burton Ashley and Ruth (Holzhauer) Mulvaney, who both predeceased her.
She attended Niskayuna High School and graduated Kent State University in 1970 with a degree in Music Education, and Florida State University in 1974 with a Masters in Music Therapy. She lived in Ohio before moving to Florida and marrying husband of 43 years Robert Danielson. They relocated to West Virginia in 2005.
Judith was devoted to music both as a performer and teacher all of her life, and shared her many talents with all ages from disabled children to seniors. The passion and joy she shared freely with all her students will not soon be forgotten. Her lighthearted nature and enthusiasm for life's joys endeared her in the hearts of all who knew her. Judith is survived by her husband Robert Danielson; step-father James Mulvaney of Glenville, NY; her sister Alice (Ashley) Morrison of Westborough, MA; her nephew John (Jay) Morrison and niece Roxanne Nute also of Westborough, MA.
A private funeral service will be held in Schenectady, NY with interment at Schenectady Memorial Park. A Memorial Celebration will follow in the fall. Donations may be made in Judith's honor to the Arbor Day Foundation (www.arborday.org). The family appreciates your comforting messages which can be left at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston W. Va, or Daly Funeral Home, Schenectady, NY.
