Obituary of Ronald J. Traver

Rotterdam – Ronald J. Traver, 82, passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021. Ron was born and educated in Albany, the son of the late James and Ruth (Ryan) Traver. He proudly served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960 and owned and operated his own company for 40 years, Traver Home Exterior. Ron enjoyed traveling and golfing and loved spending time at Saratoga Race Course (Section H. Row E). He was predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, Eugenia (Mulligan) Traver in 2003. Ron is survived by his children: Jeanne Stryker of Solana Beach, CA, Donald (Tina) Traver of Ballston Spa, NY, Kelly (Bill) Hartley of Duanesburg, NY and Kathy (Brian) Stack of Carlisle, NY; sister Gail Traver, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. The funeral service will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
