Ralph M. DiVietro (60 years old) of Niskayuna, NY passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, June 12th. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Lisa A. DiVietro, son Matthew J. DiVietro, daughter Marisa A. DiVietro, parents Mary and Carmen DiVietro, brother Paul (Linda) DiVietro, sister Phyllis (William) Warren, mother-in-law Maria L. Caruso and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. A devoted husband and loving father, Ralph spent many years traveling to sporting events for Matt and Marisa. Whether ice hockey games at Syracuse University for Matt or lacrosse games for Marisa while playing at UNC, Ralph was there to cheer them on. During their 27 years, he and Lisa spent time traveling across the country and abroad, as well as enjoying time with friends and family at their neighborhood bar, Stoney's Irish Grill. Ralph was a 1979 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and 1983 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. An avid alumnus and member of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Northeastern, NY, Ralph enjoyed flying out to South Bend for football weekends in the fall to cheer on his fighting Irish. In addition, Ralph loved the NY Giants, NY Yankees, and NY Rangers. In his free time you could find him golfing, hiking, biking, rocking out to Bruce Springsteen or traveling to his favorite places with Lisa, such as Lake Placid and Seapointe Village in Wildwood, NJ. He had an infectious laugh and was seen as a generous and giving man to everyone he crossed paths with. Ralph was a dedicated CPA for 38 years. During that time he worked for Urbach Kahn & Werlin , Dumbo Freeman & Shutt CPAs, serving as partner at LCS&Z, LLP., CFO of RVOne Superstores Inc., and most recently as a private consultant. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Kateri Tekakwitha (1803 Union Street, Niskayuna, NY) Thursday, June 17th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery (27 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY).
