Obituary of Carmon Durham

Carmon W. Durham, 95, of Liberty St. died Friday, October 22, 2010, at home. Mr. Durham was born in Fine, NY, and moved to Schenectady in 1945. He worked as an electrical lineman for the Robert E. Foley Co. and was a member of the Labor Union 1249 for 70 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Campbell Durham. She died in 1973. He was also predeceased by his stepchildren. Mr. Durham is survived by his 42 grandchildren, including Roger Peabody, Sr., Roger Peabody, Jr., Dawn Sandoval, Sheryl Haley, Michelle Lapoint, Renee Freire, Kelly Grandy, Angela Lapoint; his brother, James Gordon; and sister, Sue Supples; many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens, Colonie, preceded by a visitation on Wednesday from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
