Obituary of Carl "Skip" Klein

Guilderland - Carl "Skip" J. Klein, II, 74, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Skip was born in Niskayuna, the son of Carl and Myrtle Klein. He was a graduate of Guilderland Central High School and SUNY Albany. He was a proud U S Marine veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. Skip was a Mortgage Loan Officer for Key Bank for many years, before retiring. For several years he was a baseball coach with the Guilderland Babe Ruth, enjoyed golf at the Schenectady Municipal Golf Course, was an avid Giants and Mets fan and was active with several fraternal organizations in the area. Skip was a proud member of St. John's Lutheran Church Men's Breakfast, in Altamont. Skip is survived by three children Carlie Klein, Gina Gross and Paul "PJ" (Kristen) Dornburg, one sister Jackie (David) Chainyk, "Unk" to Davia LaChapelle, Andy and Corey Chainyk, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife Linda Klein. Funeral service Tuesday afternoon 12:30 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc 242 McClellan St. Schenectady. Calling hours, Monday evening from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment, Gerald B. H.
