Obituary of Francis J. Brennan

Francis "Frank" J. Brennan, 91, entered into eternal life on Friday November 19, 2021 in the comfort of his home with wife Janet, daughter Lori and her husband Richard, grandchildren Stephanie and her husband Floyd, Bryan and his wife Jessica, great-grandchildren Connor and Brady by his side and also the former spouse of Lori, William Billings. Francis was born on May 23, 1930 in Buffalo, NY to Anna Fotheringham and Joseph Brennan. Later the family relocated to Schenectady, NY. After finishing school, Francis served in the U S Marine Corp. Upon return from the service, Francis and Janet (Pitts) were married on April 14, 1951 at St. Columbus Church in Schenectady. They were married for 70 and ½ years. Francis worked as a salesman in the trucking business for many years, retiring from Sullivan Trucking Company out of Springfield, Mass. He was a devout family man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his home which he helped build long ago in 1956. He also loved his pet dog "Daisy" who passed only a month ago, after 15 years of companionship. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers; Joseph (Beverly), Simon (Alberta) and David and brother-in-law George Moule. Francis is also survived by his loving and devoted sister Agnes, several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Lois Brennan and Elnora Moule. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd, Schenectady. All are welcome to attend. There will be no calling hours. Burial will follow mass at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice Care Workers, especially Sue Stewart, who gave such wonderful care and compassion to Frank and to Ruth Dunn for her very special care in making Frank as comfortable as possible in the home he cherished. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
